There are many around the water cooler at work,(we do have a water cooler don't we?)whom want to be held accountable for their fitness routines and making healthy food choices. So that's the reason for this blog. As for the name of the blog?
My fitness background, not much there to speak of. I start and stop a lot! The routine of it has never sunk in. The latest round of workouts begin last saturday, January 16th, 2010. That's when I decided to take the "Fran Fitness Challenge" at CrossFit Lincoln. The challenge will last for 8 wks.
I would also like to do a marathon. Anyone else in? State Farm has one coming up. I'll check into that to get a date.

I'm not up for a marathon - any walkathons? I'm actually cutting back on working out for a time. I'm doing this metabolic diet and they encourage you to not be so strenuous in your exercise because it slows down the weight loss process. It's been nice taking a break actually.
ReplyDeleteWish I could do a marathon. My goal is to be able to walk at all! I'm trying different ways to excercise that won't lock up my knees. beth
ReplyDeleteI would try for a marathon-a walk run marathon :) I want to try to do this in my lifetime. John and I started working out at Madonna ProActive and we are really enjoying getting active again.
ReplyDeleteI'm in for a walk-a-thon. I know some people walk the half marathon in Lincoln, I believe that happens in May. It's a goal anyway. It might be fun to all work toward something. Denise
ReplyDeleteI am pumped to have others keeping tabs on each other for working out. I'm committed to consistent working out...goal of 4xs a week min. I wish I could run a marathon but my last knee surgery left me out of that for life. I am committed to losing 20 lbs by this time next year.

ReplyDeleteSounds as if we all want to walk! I'm in for that. I've worked out 4 days this week and I'm headed down to workout now. (that's a record for me - HA!) I need someone to hold me accountable.... besides my family. That can get touchy! :)

ReplyDeleteI've lost 8 pounds so far! I'm working out 3-4x a week. My knees aren't happy. I'm seeing Doctor next month. I did weights this morning,so knees shouldn't be worse.
If my knees allow, I'd do the walking.

I need motivation to get back to the gym!!! I didn't feel well for 4 days and that took me out. Geez, you'd think you would want to go back but it is easier to kick back. Boo.
